Well, here we are a few days after the latest distraction effort and dirty trick to come from somewhere in Westminister. So who's turn was it? I write 'turn' because from time to time most politicians of rank will use a trick or two. You probably already guessed, but it was Jacqui Smith...Home Office diva and cabinet member.
I wonder if she discussed this with Gordon? Of course she did.....no matter what they might say.
So the Home Office send anti-terror officers to arrest an MP...a Conservative MP. The government gave the people of this country an assurance that they would never abuse the powers they gave themselves when invoking their version of the American Patriot Act (Acts 1&2).
The arrest of Damian Green MP (Shadow Immigration Minister) shows the Brown Government are struggling. It also shows the government, (in sending anti-terror police to the home of an MP), was clearly heavy-handed but also an abuse of power by whoever ordered the investigation and arrest. These things do not happen by accident.
We have a shortage of real bona fide police in the UK and the Home Office does something like this...my word what a waste of a scarce and valuable resource. If the threat level is so high for the UK and London in particular how can the Metropolitan Police afford to send these officers to arrest an MP...is he armed to the teeth? Is he an Arnie, Bruce Willis or Stallone type? No he isn't he just spoke out of turn apparently.
Please remember...Gordon never had anything to do with this at all...just like the attempted Brown designed coup on Tony Blair while he was the PM.
If Gordon Brown remains where he is Labour will fall at the next general election. If they get rid they might just survive. They just need to get rid of people like Tony McNulty, the truly awful Hazel Blears and...Jacqui Smith at the same time.
Lost data is one thing...they don't really care as much as the Daily Mail pretends that it does but a lost election hurts like hell.
Think on Labour...he is taking you down and his arrogance is causing him to hold onto the wheel of the sinking ship while insisting he is right.
